FAQ
Can knowledge of psychology make me successful?
Unlike machines, humans are inherently unpredictable. We might be able to say about a given person or group of people after a given time and under certain conditions, that particular results are likely, but we can't be sure. We are complex and wiggly. So, we must find out what system of behaviour works best for us individually and collectively. This is what I work on with people.
How can I be sure that you're suitably qualified to help me?
This is a perfectly acceptable question that all bonafide facilitators, therapists, and councillors must be willing to answer adequately without being explicitly asked. However, your success and how it looks comes down to you alone. Nobody can do it for you, but they may point the way. Here's a brief account and links to further information.

How much do private sessions cost?
Private consultations start at €100 per session and vary in price depending on the length of session and number of sessions required. You should keep in mind, however, that psychological treatment that brings lasting results is not like getting your car fixed or your office printer serviced. It will take time for you to figure yourself out, and in that uncertain place, you may waste thousands on snake oil and the promises of well-meaning charlatans.
An impactfulpsychological intervention attempts to go to the root of your problems and challenges, it does not just clear the weeds. So, if you want to bring about lasting change in your life and work, schedule an initial chat. The first one is free.
How long do I need to attend sessions?
You will ultimately decide how long we work together. My role is the facilitator. Keep in mind, modifying behaviour and developing oneself is a lifetime task. You may find a resolution to your problems, answers to your questions, and clarity and direction in your work within a couple of months but may take longer. You may choose to retain my services on an ongoing basis working with you and your organisation. Regardless of your particular needs, change is in your hands and that of your people.
How long is each session?
Sessions can vary from up to 1 hour to 1.5 hours depending on the nature of the discussion. Costs remain fees are as per the hourly rate.
Do you work with groups and teams?
Yes, my specialisation is the behaviour and attitudes of individuals and groups in work and organisational settings. I work with business owners and leaders, managers, and HR departments in SME and corporate environments. We work on culture, strategy, leadership, ethics, motivation, well-being, and many other aspects of behaviour that influence performance at work.
In what industries do you operate?
My career and business background has been in the construction and service industries in Ireland. My experience extends to tendering, managing and completing electrical and mechanical engineering projects for national and international organisations. However, the technical work that you and your organisation carry out is less important than the nature of the relationships between you and your people. I am a people professional, and where ever people engage with one another in a workplace setting, that's where you'll find me.
About Performance Psychology
The psychology of performance attempts to understand the human cognition and behaviour associated with the pursuit of excellence and optimal performance. It is applicable to a wide range of domains including the arts, business, sport, medicine, music, emergency services and many others. A performance psychology coach or consultant helps performers in these domains, manage anxiety, cope under pressure, develop their mental game and deliver their best work on a consistent basis.
